About me

What is photography? Translated, it means painting with light.

For me, photography is pure deceleration. Photography is a fight against depression. Photography is passion, a means of expressing feelings and capturing feelings.

I'm Julian Roedel, born in 1985 and I want to share the results of my passion and make them accessible to everyone.

I only take pictures with analogue cameras on film because there is a huge craft behind it. Photography feels more real and I really enjoy the process from loading the film to developing the negative to make a Silver-galantine Print in my own Darkroom.

When I stand in my Darkroom and work hours, sometimes days on a photograph, nothing counts more than the end result. The physical end result.
